Hz to PPM Converter

Use this tool to convert frequency variation (in Hz) to stability values in ppm and ppb based on the center frequency.

Frequency Stability: 0 ppm
Frequency Stability: 0 ppb

Conversion Formula:

Frequency Stability (ppm) = (Frequency Variation (Hz) × 10⁶) / Center Frequency (Hz)

Calculation Steps:

1. Convert both frequencies to Hz

2. Apply the formula above

3. Convert ppm to ppb by multiplying by 1000

Example:

  • Center Frequency: 40 MHz
  • Frequency Variation: 2 Hz
  • Result: Frequency Stability = 0.05 ppm (50 ppb)

This tool helps with:

  • Calculating frequency stability in ppm and ppb from a given frequency variation.

  • Evaluating the impact of frequency drift on system performance.

  • Converting stability values between ppm and ppb for precise analysis.
