Anatel Act 14158, Update of Conformity Requirements

This update refines national spectrum regulations and aligns them with evolving radar and wireless technologies:

• Radar Applications: Authorizes vehicle radars operating in the 46.7–46.9 GHz band and airport radar systems in the 76–81 GHz range. Radar operation on aircraft is permitted only during ground operations.

• 5 GHz Band Adjustments: Revises technical limits for access points and client devices in the 5.150–5.725 GHz range, updating transmit-power and spectral-density thresholds to strengthen DFS and TPC requirements.

• High-Frequency Additions: The consolidated Ato 14448 now includes a new section regulating equipment in the 116–123 GHz band, added through Ato 14158.

The new rules become mandatory on April 6, 2026, providing manufacturers time to adapt products and test procedures under the revised framework.
