ESCCOM released General Notice No. 4/2026
General Notice No. 4/2026 requires valid Type Approval Certificate for importation and distribution of communications equipment starting 13 April.
The Eswatini Communications Commission (ESCCOM) informed in its GENERAL NOTICE NO. 4/2026 that, starting from 13 April 2026, any entity planning to import or use communication devices in Eswatini must hold a valid Type Approval Certificate for the equipment.
This requirement will be enforced at all ports of entry into Eswatini. With the support of the Eswatini Revenue Service (ERS), inspection and verification of compliance will be carried out.
This measure aims to ensure user safety and reflects ESCCOM’s commitment to creating a secure digital environment.
