Indonesia allows accredited local and MRA-recognized foreign labs to perform 6 GHz RLAN testing.

The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (KOMDIGI) issued announcement letter 63/DJID.3/SP.04.06/01/2026, effective 15 January 2026, permitting domestic and foreign laboratories to conduct RLAN 6 GHz testing.

  • Testing for RLAN in the 5925–6425 MHz frequency band is permitted

  • Applies to both domestic and foreign laboratories

Laboratory requirements

Local laboratories

  • Must be accredited to perform testing for the 5925–6425 MHz frequency range

Foreign laboratories

  • Test reports are accepted from laboratories under a Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA)

  • An MRA between Indonesia and South Korea has been in place since 27 May 2025

Regulatory background

  • Ministerial Decree (KM) No. 12 of 2025 permits the use of the 5925–6425 MHz band for Wi-Fi technology in Indonesia
